Course descriptions

Speak 30

Core 15

These courses aim to give students the opportunity to learn and practice conversation and communication techniques in front of a teacher. Mornings consist of three 45-50 minute periods, each offering a different approach to communication: fluency, accuracy and application.

Connect 6

2 days a week, (eg. Mon & Wed): Students engage in lively discussions with classmates across a wide range of topics… from amusing to serious, practical to abstract. These classes maximize student talk-time and build automaticity.

Another two days a week (eg. Tue & Thu): Students leave the comfort zone of the school and get out into the public. A mix of group activities, exercises, interviews and explorations push students to activate their English and build confidence.

Thrive 9

Thrive Time

Students learn about tools – like new mobile apps – and techniques – like psychological approaches – to accelerate their learning beyond CLC. Teachers support students in becoming autonomous learners.

Club Activity

Activate the language you are studying through visiting cool, local cafes, pubs and shops. Everyone can get together, unwind and have a good time. The relaxed atmosphere is the right way to loosen the tongue and start the week.

Volunteer Club

Using the target language, students develop organizational skills and leadership ability through getting to know – and potentially working with – different local non-profit organizations (NPOs) and charities.

Tea-Time

Everyone is welcome to practice speaking in a safe space, guided by an expert facilitator. Meet our volunteers, local people and other learners.

Cultural Activity

Students explore various interesting spaces, events and cultural gems of Montreal. See the scene from an insider’s point of view.
